The cover is finally here!!!
This is my favorite of all the covers I've made so far, and I'm super excited about it. I can't wait to be able to hold the book in my hands. 😊
But before I give you the cover, here's the book description:
Which would you choose—save your sister or save the world?Emma Edsel’s first priority has always been protecting her blind sister Carla. So when Carla begins to develop science-defying abilities that threaten her life, Emma will stop at nothing to save her. With nowhere else to turn, she seeks help from Mitchell, the new boy at school who seems to know much more about it than he will admit. After his last mission went horribly awry, Mitchell Banks is relieved to have a simple task: seal a small, accidental portal between Earth and other worlds in the multiverse. He didn’t count on his growing feelings for Emma—and the dangerous levels of dimension energy contaminating Carla.Carla knows the voice in her head is evil. Manipulative. Feeding her with a strange energy she can control. She doesn’t know that she is the key to a coming global catastrophe and Mitchell’s boss will use any means possible to prevent it…including blackmailing him into murdering her.
Coming October 26!
And now...
*drumroll*
What do you think? I really can't wait to share the book itself with you. It's definitely the one that's gotten me the closest to crying while writing, and these characters are very dear to my heart.
October 26 will be here before we know it! (And I just realized that it's the same week that season 2 of The Mandalorian premieres, so two things to be excited about!)
Check out these other reveal posts, some including interviews:
And by the way, this is my 500th blog post and the cover reveal for my 10th book, so I've got nice round numbers and two milestones. I feel like Monk would be proud. 😊
Wow! Congrats on both milestones!!! The cover is gorgeous! *.*
ReplyDeleteI really wish we had Disney+. The Mandalorian sounds amazing! And also Baby Yoda!!!
Thank you! I'm glad you like the cover!
DeleteI LOVE Disney+. The Mandalorian is really good (baby Yoda is the cutest thing ever!), and I'm so glad to finally be able to watch Clone Wars, and also Rebels now that I know how good it is. Plus all the old Disney movies they liked to keep locked in the vault. It's definitely been worth the money for my family. I just wish Monsters at Work hadn't gotten delayed. :(
Ooh, you watched Clone Wars! My siblings and I loved that show! Unfortunately, we can't watch Season 7 because it's on Disney+ only. I loved watching Anakin and Ashoka's relationship develop.
ReplyDeleteWe also watched all of Rebels as it aired on TV, and I love it even more than Clone Wars! Right now, we're in the middle of watching Resistance. We recorded all the episodes so we could watch them in our free time.
I'm glad you're able to watch the old movies. Is Monsters at Work a Monsters Inc. Sequel?
I LOVED Clone Wars. It's just so good. Season 7 was kind of short, but good. And the end was just so sad (I mean, the last story arc happens at the same time as RotS). But I love it. I love Anakin and Ahsoka's relationship. Ahsoka is such a huge factor in his character growth between movies. Ahsoka's one of my favorite characters. There's just so much that's great about CW.
DeleteWe're getting close to the end of Rebels now, and I'm sad. I don't want it to be over. I haven't watched any of Resistance. I'm not sure if I care. I mean, Dave Filoni did do it, but it's sequel trilogy related, so... I love CW and Rebels to pieces, though.
Monsters at Work is a Disney+ show that takes place after Monsters Inc., so it's sort of a sequel/spinoff, though it focuses on another monster that wants to work on the Laugh Floor with Mike and Sulley. It was supposed to come out this year, but it got delayed to next spring. :( I love Monsters Inc., so I was really looking forward to it.
Resistance doesn't lean heavily on the latest movies(it's like Rebels, it takes place during that time but it is its own story), Poe makes a few appearances, the circumstances are talked about, and eventually the story reaches the point where the planets blow up in Force Awakens. But it's mainly about Kaz and his bungling attempts to be a Resistance spy and how he creates a small family where he's stationed. Rebels was way better, but I would suggest at least watching the first couple episodes to get a feel for it.
ReplyDeleteOh, right! I remember my brother talking about it now. We love Monsters Inc. too. :)
Amazing cover!!! I can't wait until October. (YES! The second season of The Mandolorian!) And congratulations on 500 posts and 10 covers! Monk would definitely be very proud.
ReplyDeleteThank you! (Have you seen the trailer yet? It looks so cool!) Thanks! :) Monk is so great. ;)
